Password security recommendations for Torrent Suite™ Software

Thermo Fisher Scientific strongly recommends that you maintain unique passwords for all accounts in use on this product. All passwords should be reset upon first sign in to the product. Change passwords according to your organization's password policy.

It is the sole responsibility of your IT personnel to develop and enforce secure use of passwords.

When using passwords for Torrent Suite™ Software, Thermo Fisher Scientific strongly recommends that passwords meet the following security policies.

• Passwords should be at least 10 characters in length for user accounts and administrator accounts.
• Passwords should not contain any keywords that are related to the associated username, device name or serial number.
• Passwords should contain both upper and lowercase alphabetic characters (A-Z, a-z).
• Passwords should include at least one numerical character (For example, 0-9).
• Passwords should include at least one special character. For example,@, #, $, %, ^, &, *, (, ), _, -, +, ; and !.
• The last used password should not be reused.

Torrent Suite™ Software software checks each password when it is created to ensure that the password meets the Torrent Suite™ Software recommendations for password security. If any recommendations are not met, the user who created the password receives a notification in the Dashboard screen with details about how to create a stronger password. Notifications are not generated for passwords that meet the recommendations.
